Audrey Hepburn - always in my hearth

Dear diary,

The calendar shows  the 4th of May. On this day, in 1929, was born an extraordinary woman who had a significant role in my, and in a life of the most women I know. Her name is, you can guess, Audrey: The only and unique, the unforgettable Audrey Hepburn.

I still remember the emotion I felt, that day when I saw her for the first time. I was a child and I was watching an old movie on tv. Who could imagine that it would become one day the movie of my life, my favorite and the best film ever. I am, obviously, speaking about “The Breakfast at Tiffany’s”, directed by Blake Edwards and based on the novel written by Truman Capote.

Who can, I never did it, forget the scene with Audrey sitting on the window sill, playing guitar and singing that beautiful Henry Mancini’s song “Moon river”. I believe that it was the first song in English I’ve learned.  When I was studying in Bologna, Alina, a friend of mine, brought me a dvd of the movie. You can imagine my happiness! I can watch it over and over again, especially the scene I already mentioned. Even now I am singing: “Where ever you’re going, I am going your way..”.

On this day I usually take time to see it for, God knows, which time.  Today, however, I decided to do something different so I opted for “The Audrey Hepburn story”, a biographical tv movie about the lovely and gorgeous moon river girl that has been always a part of my growing up, or better of my entire existence, directed by Steven Robman. It is difficult to play and be Audrey, but I believe that Jennifer Love Hewitt did her job very well. You can easily find it on web. I watched it on youtube. ( part 2, part 3)
